Made to measure, not off the shelf
Blackout Curtains

Block out 100% of the light, soften outside noise, and keep rooms cooler through the day — that’s what a proper blackout curtain does.
The fixed size blackout panels you’ll find on a shelf are made to an average window, not yours. They end up too narrow, too short, or bunched on the floor and the light leaks in around every edge that doesn’t fit.
Wallux does made to measure only. We measure your window on site before a single length of fabric is cut, then sew each curtain to the exact width and drop with the right fullness to drape properly and a hem that sits where it should. The result is a clean blackout with no gaps, and a finish that looks made for the room, because it was.
100% Blackout Fabric
Every Wallux night curtain uses a genuine 100% blackout fabric, not a dim out or a near blackout that still lets a glow through. It blocks the light fully, which is exactly what you want in a bedroom, a nursery, or any room a shift worker sleeps in during the day.
Because the light block comes from the weave itself, you get the same result across the whole panel. No thin spots, no fading of performance over time.
Is it healthy to sleep with blackout curtains?
For most people, yes, and it can genuinely improve sleep. A fully dark room helps your body produce melatonin, the hormone that regulates your sleep cycle, so you fall asleep faster and wake less through the night. That is especially useful in Singapore, where streetlights and corridor lighting from neighbouring units keep bedrooms brighter than you would think.
The one honest caveat: a sealed, dark room needs airflow. Blackout fabric can trap a little heat and hold air still, so pair it with your aircon, a fan, or a window you open during the day. Used with decent ventilation, blackout curtains are a safe, effective way to sleep better.
What is better than blackout for some rooms
Blackout is not the right answer for every room. In a kitchen, living room, or study, blocking all the light usually makes the space feel dark and closed in during the day. For those rooms, a sheer day curtain that softens light, or a day and night setup that lets you switch between the two, is often the better call.
If that sounds more like what you need, see the full range of day and day and night options on our curtains page. Blackout is one choice among several, and we will help you pick the right one per room.

This is my second time order from Wallux and the salesperson representative, Cynthia is friendly and helpful and accommodating to my needs, from selecting the material to delivering the curtains. I was very satisfied with how well the curtains hung on the living room window. If I ever need a new curtain, I will surely contact her again.

We were not sure whether to install curtains or blinds. With Melvin's advise, we decided on blinds for our living room and curtains for the bedroom. Installation was smooth and efficient and on time. The blinds and curtains made our cosy home feel and look so much better. Even our little ones loved it. Price was also right for our budget.

The service rendered was great. Second time to get the curtain installed as I had previously installed the sheer curtain only. Now the whole living room curtain is complete with both sheer & night curtain. Vendor seek on and advice on possible date that they are able to come down and get it installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes for most people — full darkness supports melatonin and better sleep. Just pair them with airflow or aircon so the room stays ventilated.
Look for made-to-measure over off-the-shelf. Fixed-size panels leave light gaps around a window that isn’t a standard size. Wallux measures on-site and sews each curtain to your exact window, so you get a true 100% blackout with no leaking edges.
If you sleep during the day, have a west-facing or street-facing bedroom, or just want a darker, cooler, quieter room, yes. You get three things at once — full light block, softer noise, and less heat gain — from a single curtain.
The main one is that they make a room dark and can trap a little heat if there’s no airflow — so they’re best paired with ventilation or aircon. They also suit some rooms better than others: great for bedrooms, less ideal for kitchens or living areas where you want daytime light.
