Singapore-Wide Curtain Fitting
Curtains
Free Install & Delivery
If your curtains don’t fully block the morning light, or look too short for the window, the issue is almost always fit not fabric. Wallux makes curtains to your exact window dimensions, measured on site, so what you see in the showroom is what you get at home.
This page covers every type we offer, what each one costs, and how to pick the right one before you spend a cent.
Night Curtains (Blackout Curtains)
Night curtains use a blackout lined or blackout woven fabric to block incoming light entirely. They’re the go to choice for bedrooms, especially in Singapore where streetlights and corridor lights from neighbouring floors can make rooms uncomfortably bright at night.
Best for: Bedrooms, nurseries, shift workers, anyone who sleeps in during the day.
Day Curtains (Sheer Curtains)
Day curtains are made from light, translucent fabric, usually linen, voile, or a fine polyester. They soften natural light rather than blocking it, give your room a sense of privacy without making it dark, and add texture to a window without feeling heavy.
Best for: Living rooms, dining areas, any room where you want light but not direct sun on your face.
Day & Night Curtains (Double Track)
Two sets of curtains on a double rod a sheer day curtain and a blackout night curtain on the track behind it. You pull the sheer during the day for soft light and switch to the blackout at night. This is the most versatile option and the most common setup for bedrooms in Singapore homes.
Best for: Any room where you want full flexibility light control during the day, complete blackout at night.

How to Choose Your Curtains
1. Decide on your light control needs first
Are you covering a bedroom where total darkness matters? Go for night curtains or day & night curtains. Is it a living room where you want privacy but still want natural light? Day curtains or dim out.
2. Choose a fabric that suits the room
Linen and cotton blends breathe well and suit Singapore's humidity. Velvet and heavier fabrics look premium but can trap heat in poorly ventilated rooms. Voile and polyester sheers are practical, wash well, and hold colour over time.
3. Pick a pleat style that matches your interior
4. Floor length, not window length.
Curtains that end at the window sill look dated and make rooms feel smaller. Standard practice is to hang curtains from near the ceiling down to just above the floor, regardless of where the window itself ends.
Ready Made vs Made to Measure
- Fixed widths and lengths, e.g. 140cm wide, 250cm drop
- Often too narrow, too short, or bunched on the floor, especially in older HDB blocks
- Self measured, based on standard sizing charts
- Fixed fullness, can hang flat or thin
- Standard sized windows, quick fixes, tighter budgets
- Cut to your exact window measurements
- Covers the full width of the window, with a hem that sits exactly where it should
- Measured on site by Wallux before any fabric is cut
- Fullness calculated for your fabric, so it drapes properly
- Non-standard windows, HDB and condo homes, a finished look that lasts

This is my second time order from Wallux and the salesperson representative, Cynthia is friendly and helpful and accommodating to my needs, from selecting the material to delivering the curtains. I was very satisfied with how well the curtains hung on the living room window. If I ever need a new curtain, I will surely contact her again.

We were not sure whether to install curtains or blinds. With Melvin's advise, we decided on blinds for our living room and curtains for the bedroom. Installation was smooth and efficient and on time. The blinds and curtains made our cosy home feel and look so much better. Even our little ones loved it. Price was also right for our budget.

The service rendered was great. Second time to get the curtain installed as I had previously installed the sheer curtain only. Now the whole living room curtain is complete with both sheer & night curtain. Vendor seek on and advice on possible date that they are able to come down and get it installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
For a full set of day & night curtains in a 3-room HDB, expect to spend S$1,200 to S$1,800 with professional installation. Night curtains alone start around S$950 for a 3-room flat. Pricing varies by fabric, window size, and number of windows.
In 2026, the most popular curtain styles in Singapore are S fold (wave) curtains in neutral linen tones, and sheer layering over blackout panels. There’s also growing demand for motorised day & night tracks, particularly for bedrooms where the switch between sheer and blackout can be done without getting out of bed.
Linen blends and breathable polyester sheers work best in Singapore. Avoid heavy velvet in non air conditioned rooms, it holds heat and is difficult to clean. For bedrooms, a good quality blackout lining actually helps reduce heat gain from the outside, which is a real consideration for west facing windows.
Standard fabric and track installations typically take 5 to 7 working days from measurement to installation. Custom or imported fabrics may take longer. Contact us for current lead times.
Always hang curtains higher, ideally 10 to 15cm above the window frame or close to the ceiling. This makes rooms feel taller and windows look larger. Curtains that start at the window frame look squat and are harder to keep clean at the bottom.
