Every honeycomb blind is built from two (or more) layers of fabric folded into a row of sealed cells.
Why Honeycomb Blinds Work in Singapore Homes
Traps Heat, Not Just Light
The cellular structure blocks heat transfer the way a double glazed window does, so rooms with direct sun stay noticeably cooler.
Dampens Everyday Noise
The same trapped-air layer reduces sound coming through the window — useful if you're near a main road or ongoing construction.
Built for Humid Conditions
Keep the window area ventilated and wipe away condensation promptly to avoid the mould risk any fabric blind faces in humid rooms.
Which Light Level Do You Actually Need?
Honeycomb blinds come in two main opacities. Here’s the difference, so you order the right one the first time.
Light filtering
Living Room, Kitchens
Full privacy and near total blackout.
Room darkening
Bedrooms, media rooms
Full privacy and near total blackout.

This is our first time engaging wallux for their service attended by cynthia & vince. We installed motorised blind for our main living room and manual blinds for the dining room. The blinds are of excellent quality. Reliable! No disappointment! Installation done pretty fast too by professional installer. Overall it was a pleasant and smooth experience from the start of enquiry until installation is done. Might be coming to get another blind next time for other room. Thank you Wallux!

I have engaged Wallux to replace my existing venetian blinds as they old and mechanism was not working well. They were quick to respond and came to my house fast to take the measurements. Also gave my a variety of colours to choose from. Their pricing which includes installation was very reasonable and I will definitely recommend them. Installation was done within a week without any issues. Thank you Wallux! Highly recommended for those who intend to change or purchase new blinds

The quality of service provided by Wallux is excellent. When informed of an error in the pasting of the wallpaper, they rectified the issue as soon as the stock was available. Cynthia is very friendly and goes the extra mile for the customers. The installation of the Korean blinds were excellent. I would recommend their services and products.

Frequently Asked Questions
They cost more upfront than a standard roller blind, and because of the cellular structure they’re not the easiest blind to clean if dust builds up in the folds. They’re also built for a set position more than constant daily adjustment.
Honeycomb blinds cost more than a standard roller blind the double-layered fabric and cell structure both add to the price per panel. Exact pricing depends on your window size and fabric choice, so get in touch for a quote based on your actual window rather than a generic figure that may not reflect what you’ll pay.
If your room genuinely struggles with heat or noise, yes the insulation is a real, physical difference, not a marketing claim, and it pays back over time in comfort and potentially lower air-con use. If your window doesn’t get direct sun and noise isn’t an issue, a standard roller blind will do the job for less.
In Singapore’s humidity, any fabric blind near a window can be at risk of mould if it stays damp or the area isn’t ventilated. The best prevention is simple: keep the window area ventilated, wipe away any condensation build-up promptly, and avoid letting the blind stay wet for extended periods. If you notice any spotting, a light wipe-down with a dry or slightly damp cloth (following the fabric’s care instructions) usually resolves it early.
With normal use and basic care keeping the fabric clean and avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure a honeycomb blind should hold up well over years of daily use. How long yours lasts in practice depends on how much direct sun the fabric takes and how often you raise and lower it.
